Bangalore RC thrashed by the Knight Riders

Well, after the fantastic opening ceremony for the IPL, the bashing that Vijay Mallya's Bangalore Royal Challengers got from SRK's Kolkota Knight Riders was very humiliating for the RC boys in Red & Yellow and more so for the captain of the team, Rahul Dravid who fell the first ball he faced from Ishant Sharma playing a loose shot.

Summary:

  • Knight Riders Get to bat first

  • The Kiwi Brendon Mccullum hired by SRK shows why he's getting big bucks by getting on with it from the first ball he faces.

  • At the end of the Twentieth over (with a six of the last ball) Brendon Mccullum has got 158 of just 73 balls and his team has 222 on the board leaving the RC boys to get 223 to win.

  • Dravid Perishes Early in the RC innings, Jaffer wastes some time on the crease and he too leaves quite soon.

  • The rest of the team toes the line and are bowled out at just 82 runs giving SRK's Knight Riders a victory of 140 runs!!

  • Of course Brendon Mccullum's biggest ever score in T20 cricket gets him the Man of the match award. That's it for the Cricketing part of it, but the other great thing was seeing the King Khan
being present and rooting for his team throughout the match, he was there with his wife & kids and mates from the industry all of whom enjoyed the match very much from the looks of them. Sharukh never had the chance to sit quietly throughout the KR team's batting courtsey Brendon Mccullum again, his fellow actor Arjun Rampal also had fun time cheering for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Praise must be given to Lalit Modi for creating this fantastic T20 league and for bollywood biggie's like SRK for promoting T20 cricket and even owning and promoting the Kolkata team so good.
